Biography

Hanna Blomberg is a Malmö-based composer and musician whose work moves between contemporary classical music, Scandinavian folk traditions and music for film and performing arts.

With a background as a violinist and folk musician, she brings a distinctive musical language to her compositions, combining traditional melodic influences with contemporary techniques, acoustic textures and electronic sound worlds. Her music often explores the relationship between tradition and experimentation, with a particular interest in storytelling and the expressive possibilities of sound.

Her works have been performed by ensembles including Musica Vitae, Ensemble Mare Balticum, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Monbijou Quartet and Bellevue String Quartet. She has composed music for chamber ensembles, orchestras and stage productions, as well as original music for television.

Alongside her work as a composer, Hanna performs with the folk music ensembles Trio Wolski and Stringflip.

She holds degrees in composition and violin performance from Malmö Academy of Music.
