Hanna Blomberg
Composer • Violinist • Folk musician • Suzuki teacher
Hanna Blomberg is a Malmö-based composer, violinist and pedagogue with degrees in violin and composition from Malmö Academy of Music. She has a background as a folk musician and is part of the successful bands Trio Wolski and Stringflip. She has also brought the folk musical tonal language into her compositions and is particularly interested in mixing tonal material with extended playing techniques. Several of her works draw inspiration from visual art created by her father Lars-Eric Blomberg.
”And she has actually succeeded in not only making one of the most exciting newly written works I've heard in a long time, but also achieving a synthesis of the whole idea.”
- Matti Edén, music critic and writer on Sydsvenskan (Translated quote).
