Monbijou Quartet
Dedicated to the memory of Hanna’s grandmother Märta, Flyg! is a deeply personal string quartet inspired by a traditional lullaby from Dalarna, Sweden. Through folk-inspired melodies and contemporary string techniques, the music reflects on life, loss and the act of letting go.

Inspired by Swedish folk music and traditional dances such as the polska and schottis, Tidens Betydelse (The Importance of Time) explores how traditions evolve and how time shapes our lives. Joyful orchestral passages contrast with the sound of a ticking clock, reminding us of the passing of time and the fleeting nature of life.

Commissioned by Bellevue String Quartet, For Four draws inspiration from a painting by Lars-Eric Blomberg. Written for a programme exploring the connections between early and contemporary music, the piece brings a modern voice into dialogue with musical traditions of the past.

Awake for Symphony Orchestra
Undressed on a hospital bed and goosebumps on my skin. A white figure is talking but I'm on my way away. Sentences spin more slowly with each passing day. Blurred thoughts are mixed with clear thoughts. I’ve forgotten how to laugh. Once, I got a card from my teacher that said "Never stop laughing?". It cannot be me. I'm not laughing anymore. I want to laugh. Why can’t I?
This piece is about mental illness. About living with the illness and the brain ghosts. About learning to live with them and hoping to get well one day.
