Beyond Rest

It’s been a little quiet here for a while, as I’ve been on maternity leave with Bo.

But creativity found its way through. I wrote a string quartet called Beyond Rest, about sleep deprivation.

Having 1–2 hours alone some days became a luxury.

Those hours I could sit down and write became a space where I could exist in my own sphere.

The result is an intense piece, born out of exhaustion, but also from the need for something of my own.

Later this year it will be performed by Monbijou Quartet.
